Amid speculations about cross-voting in Rajya Sabha elections for the lone seat from Himachal Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former CM Jai Ram Thakur claimed that the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress government has lost the majority and demanded his resignation. Thakur said, “The budget will be presented tomorrow. We will discuss the budget tomorrow and then we will see the situation there. Almost five years after India first announced its human spaceflight programme – Gaganyaan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday revealed the names of four astronauts who have been selected for the Indian Space Research Organisation’s ambitious mission. The four astronaut-designates– Prashanth Nair, Angad Prathap, Ajit Krishnan, and Shubhanshu Shukla — are already undergoing training at the Astronaut Training Facility in Bengaluru for the country’s maiden human space flight mission. SC Comes Down Heavily on Patanjali For Violation of Undertaking On Claims, Ads
The Supreme Court on Tuesday came down heavily on yoga guru Ramdev’s Patanjali Ayurved for prima facie violation of the undertaking given by it in the court about its products and also about statements claiming their medicinal efficacy.
