A student preparing for medical entrance examinations in Rajasthan’s Kota town has been gang-raped allegedly by her classmates, police said on Thursday.
Officials have arrested the four accused in connection with the alleged crime that took place on February 13.
The survivor, said to be a minor, had befriended a classmate who was from Uttar Pradesh. He called her in his apartment, where he and three of his friends allegedly gang-raped the girl, Kota ASP Uma Sharma was quoted as saying by Zee Media.
Thousands of students from across India land in Kota every year to prepare for engineering and medical entrance tests.
