The three-day pre-wedding festivities of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani and industrialist Viren Merchant’s daughter Radhika Merchant began on Friday (March 1) in Gujarat’s Jamnagar.
The second day of Anant-Radhika’s pre-wedding festivities were set to the themes of ‘A Walk on the Wildside’ with ‘jungle fever’ as the suggested dress code and ‘Mela Rouge’, a potpourri of desi activities in the guests’ favourite south Asian attire. The ‘Walk on the Wildside’ was held outdoors in Vantara, the Ambanis’ animal rescue and rehabilitation centre in Jamnagar.
Close to 2,000 guests, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft founder Bill Gates, Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra are attending the celebration hosted at the Reliance Greens Complex in Jamnagar. All of these guests brought out their floral, birds, tiger and animal-printed outfits to match the second day’s theme.
The inaugural day, March 1, was set to the theme of ‘An Evening in Everland,’ where guests adorned themselves in sophisticated cocktail attire. A performance by Cirque du Soleil, a drone show, and Rihanna’s first-ever performance in India remained the highlights of the first day of festivities.
The festivities are taking place in Jamnagar as the city holds a special significance for the Ambani family due to their deep-rooted familial ties.
