Krishna Dwadashi is deemed auspicious for initiating significant activities, while Krishna Trayodashi is regarded as unfavourable for auspicious activities and is thus excluded from the list of shubh muhurat timings. Two festivals are slated for the day: Shattila Ekadashi Parana and Pradosh Vrat.
