Ram Navami 2024 LIVE Updates: Ram Navami will be celebrated at the newly-built Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir for the first time on Wednesday marking a historic occasion. ‘Surya Tilak’ will take place from 12:16 pm to 12:21 pm when rays of the sun will symbolically mark the forehead of Ram Lalla’s idol placed in the ‘garbh griha’.
Meanwhile, all eyes are on Ram Navami processions in West Bengal after politics erupted over the celebration of the festival in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, hit out at the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), saying the party had “tried its best to stop Ram Navami celebrations” in Bengal.
“This is the first Ram Navami when Ram Lalla has been enthroned in the grand temple in Ayodhya. I know the TMC, as always, has tried its best to stop the Ram Navami celebrations and hatched several conspiracies. But only the truth wins. Therefore, permission has been granted by the court and Ram Navami processions will be taken out tomorrow with full reverence and devotion. I congratulate all my brothers and sisters of Bengal on this occasion,” PM Modi said at a public meeting in Balurghat in South Dinajpur.
